What I've been thinking about...

This video spends about 30 seconds following the narrators from PHd Comics around in “real life” before launching into their very distinctive style of teaching/storytelling via graphic novel.

Even leaving the content aside, this video is worth seeing because it almost qualifies as an example of a new hybrid communication medium.

Of course… the topic is the Higgs Boson! I’m a very interested amateur, and this video was at just the level I was looking for. Other interested amateurs… well, just hit play, and you won’t be sorry.

Virus of the Mind by Richard Brodie. A book about memes... ideas and how they participate in their own evolution within human mind and society.
Godel, Escher, Bach the titanic work on math, music, and human consciousness by Douglas Hofstadter.
The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster. A favorite children's book that became an even more favorite adult book. Full of poetry, metaphor, and wisdom.
Out of Our Heads by Alva Noe. A book about consciousness, and idea that our conception of it should maybe cross the boundary of the skull!
